Description
The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Austin Blair Camp 7, Jackson, MI will be conducting a memorial headstone dedication at Ashland Cemetery in Grant, MI to honor Pvt. John P. Barnum, Co. E 18 MI Infantry who died aboard the steamer Sultana on the Mississippi River while returning to a camp in Ohio following his release from a Confederate Prison Camp. He g-g-uncle Howard Barnum Lloyd will be conducting the service assisted by members of the Eva Gray Tent 2, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, 1861-1865. The public is welcome to attend.
