Description

The River Country Chamber of Commerce of Newaygo County hosts the annual Logging Festival over the Labor Day weekend.  The festival committee strives to show visitors the rich logging history on which the town of Newaygo was founded.  Kids of all ages can enjoy chainsaw carvings, lumberjack demonstrations, and an expansive museum exhibit showcasing items from the logging boom on the local Muskegon River.

The festival also boasts of the very best in handmade crafts and unique resale items for everyone to enjoy. With an emphasis on unique home decorations, garden and yard decor, beautiful jewelry, clothing, personalized gifts, ornaments, antiques and collectibles. There are also many palate pleasing delights such as dips, jams, candies, breads, candied apples, cookies, popcorn, dried soup mixes, candied almonds and handmade tamales as well as the traditional carnie foods. Be sure to experience the annual parade on Sunday afternoon.
