Michigan's 2nd Congressional District

The Times Indicator and River Country Chamber of Commerce are hosting one of two debates between U.S. Representative Bill Huizenga and Dr. Robert Davidson on Monday October 15, 2018.  The debate will take place at the Newaygo High School located at 200 East St, Newaygo, MI 49337. The debate will start at 6:00pm and go until 7:30pm.

The debate moderator will be Rich Wheater, each candidate will be provided 5 minutes for an opening statement followed by questions from the audience.  Written questions will be submitted by the audience, screened for duplication by our question-screening volunteers, and asked by the moderator to the candidates.  Each candidate will be allowed up to 3 minutes to answer, the questions may be directed to one or both candidates but both candidates may answer.  Time limits will be strictly enforced and candidates will receive a 30 second warning by the moderator when time has expired.  Candidates will be provided 5 minutes to make closing remarks.

This is a rare opportunity for constituents to gain an understanding of the public policy positions of our prospective elected representative.
