The 2014 Christmas in Grant is Saturday, December 13, 2014 - NEW TIME - 4:00 - 9:00 pm
New this year the 1st Annual Christmas Stroll in Grant; we encourage you to stop in at local area businesses offering many free activities and specials. There are also many outdoor activities from Water Tower Park to the Main Street Train District. Enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride, stop by for some FREE Nationally Awarded Warm Roasted Chestnuts by Bruce Smith (will be at Sharla Schipper State Farm Office), the warming tent with hot cocoa and apple cider as your children visit with the cast of frozen; Olaf the Snowman, Elsa, and Anna will be here throughout the afternoon.
Please join us at the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Water Tower Park, with an additional warming fire behind the park. Children can bring their Christmas tree decorations (made inside the Community Center) and hang them on the tree. Santa will also be making surprise visits to local restaurants* and businesses.
Grant area businesses participating in the annual "Decorate & Donate" holiday decorating contest will surely be vying for your vote$ for the best decorated business in River Country.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive around 4:00 pm on a horse-drawn carriage between the Depot and the Community Center. Santa and Mrs. Claus will meet with children and have photos taken at the Community Center from 4:30pm until 7:30pm.
The City of Grant and local businesses would also like to invite the community of Grant to take part in the traditional Grant Community Christmas Party, please note the new time 4:30 – 7:30 pm. This annual event held inside the Grant Community Center features a free photo with Santa, Cookie Decorating (while supplies last, cookies donated by Gene's Market), Make & Take arts & crafts, Matchbox car racing, NEW this year children can make an ornament to take to the tree decorating and lighting ceremony at Water Tower Park.
The Grant Senior All-Nighter Committee has opted to participate with a local restaurant instead. They are not having a fundraiser pancake breakfast/lunch this year.

4:40pm-4:55pm: Surprise visit from Santa
5:00pm-5:20pm: Santa at Water Tower Park for Tree Lighting Ceremony
5:25pm-6:10pm: Santa at The Depot
6:15pm-6:45pm: Santa at Andrea's Pizza & Italian Restaurant
7:00pm-7:40pm: Santa at Old Iron Bar & Grill
