Description
Kid's Sidewalk Chalk Competition
Join us for some FREE summer fun right in your hometown! Kids ages 0-17 are welcome to compete in our sidewalk chalk competition. Find your local chalking spot at a public library in either Grant, Newaygo, White Cloud, Croton, Fremont, or Hesperia and create your best piece of artwork. Pick the time and day that works best for you and spend a couple of hours creating! Limited chalk will be available at each location, or you can bring your own.
Chalk the Town will be following the state summer reading program theme of "Tails and Tales"! Draw ONLY your favorite animal or illustrate a scene from one of your favorite stories.
Snap a picture and submit your artwork to the link below to have the chance to win awesome prizes from our business sponsors. Or, draw just for fun! Prizes will be awarded based on three age groups:
Kids 0-5
Juniors 6-12
Teens 13-17
Winners will be announced August 6. The winning artwork from each town will be displayed on the River Country Chamber of Commerce Facebook page!
Artwork MUST be submitted by August 4 at 8pm for a chance to win a prize. Winners will be contacted the following week about prize pick up.
