2018 Harvest Moon Amateur BBQ Competition

Entrants are required to set up on Saturday morning, October 13, between 8 am - 9 am. You may park one (1) vehicle in front of your space long enough to unload then move it to the parking area for competitors.
Chicken - Judged at 5:00pm
Ribs - Judged at 5:30pm
People Choice - 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Contest meats must be delivered to the designated turn-in point in the cook-off competition area no later than five (5) minutes before turn in-time time:

Peoples Choice tickets being sold from 5 pm - 6 pm (or until sold out)
1st Place (each category) = $150
People's Choice** Award = Trophy and bragging rights!
Fees/Admission
One Meat - $50.00 Choice of Chicken OR Ribs*
Two Meats - $75.00 Both Chicken & Ribs*
*Registration fee includes your choice of meat to cook. All meat will be provided by Old Iron Bar and Grill. (1 whole chicken and/or 2 racks of baby back ribs)
Prizes:
1st place (each category) = $125.00
2nd place (each category) = $75.00
3rd place (each category) = $ 50.00

2018 Harvest Moon Festival is happy to announce the The Amateur BBQ Competition is back for a 3rd year! Held at Old Iron Bar & Grill.
This is sure to be a tasty event for everyone. Put your best BBQ to the test!
The competition will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018. Cooking with start at 9AM and judging starts at 5:00 pm. Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Register by October 8, 2018 ONLINE or PRINT & mail to River Country Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 181, Newaygo, MI 49337. Make checks payable to River Country Chamber of Commerce. NO SAME DAY REGISTRATIONS for this event!
The Awards Ceremony will start at approximately at 6:15 pm - Also this year there will be a People's Choice** Award with judging from 5pm - 6pm so make sure to bring your friends & family - BBQ for all!
** to participate in peoples choice you must provide 3lbs of chicken and/or 12 full ribs uncooked (will be inspected at check in).
